Affordable housing options for developmentally disabled adults are limited nationwide. The Foundation is actively involved with other organizations, developers, community and civic leaders to address this crisis in housing.
Meaningful employment is important for many members of the special needs community. We are active in the business community and seek to identify and create such opportunities.
Continuing education programs after high school are important to improve social and practical living skills. Over the years, we have been very involved in working with families and community leaders to expand these opportunities for the developmentally disabled.
We have been involved in the Special Olympics and local sports programs for over 24 years. Participation in these programs has been a great way for families to make
new friends.
